My work embeds self-portraiture within lush, overgrown environments, exploring the interplay between the natural world and personal introspection. The verdant landscapes embody dualities - simultaneously alluring yet unsettling in their untamed wildness. The self-portraits confront past selves, grappling with harmful thoughts and destructive behaviors before eventually letting go.
The dense foliage mirrors the tangle of emotions, while vibrant blooms represent self-acceptance. Accompanying each visual piece is an original poem expanding the narrative through poetic voice. Synthesizing visual and literary elements constructs an immersive, multi-layered experience.
